Review: Illusions By: Aprilynne Pike

Illusions (Wings, #3)Illusions by Aprilynne Pike
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The continuing saga of Laurel and the triangle of Tamani and David. Enter new characters, such as a mysterious exchange student, Yuki, more trolls, and the return of Klea brings the story closer to the end.

Tamani returns to enter high school with Laurel, to further his watch over her and him vying for her attention and love. There is a deep mystery within the forest, where trolls are given faerie powers to protect themselves, leaving Laurel vulnerable and leaving the sentrys questioning who, what, where, where, why, and how.

With Laurel and Tamani getting close, David's jealousy hits a peak and leaves Laurel no choice but to be on her own. Some secrets are reveal between friends and their true feelings, Tamani and Laurel, David, Chelsea, and Ryan.

The book ends with one mystery solved, but the beginning of another.

I can't say that this was as good as Wings or Spells, but I am sure that this fills the void until the fourth comes out.
